Emanuel's In

Rahm Emanuel has officially accepted the position as President Obama's White House Chief of Staff.

This has ruffled some feathers among Internet trolls because they feel Emanuel is an example of partisanship and steel-elbowed politics. While I feel I must declare that I, too, am an Internet troll, I will also say that I believe that sharp elbows are going to be needed to turn our country around.

I'm no troll, but I lurk here occasionally.

Ange is our common link.

It's not like Emanuel's middle name is Hussein, or something, is it?

People need to get a grip.

If we thought President Obama would be surrounding himself with panty-waists, we'd've stayed home and stayed drunk rather than exhaust ourselves volunteering for his campaign.

Smart, tough, centered ... exactly what we need.

(On a more personal note, I needed to learn that Emanuel isn't spelled with two m's, so the whole deal is doubly cool with me.)

I keep spelling Barack with two R's.

It's only because I get so excited when I write his name.

Anyway, this is the most I've ever paid attention, so I'm trying to keep up. I appreciate your site and all the helpful links you provide.

Never heard of Rahm Emanuel before, but as soon as I read that he inspired the character of Josh Lyman, I went, "OH! Fantastic!"
The fact that his younger brother is Ari Gold from Entourage was a bit unexpected, but should go over well with the younger crowds.

This is getting too hard to believe.

Speaking of panty-waists, I need to toughen up. How many days now, and I keep thinking, 'When's the negativity going to end??' The Obama camp is so beyond it. When will I relax and begin to enjoy the ride??
