Take a look at this article about Maj. General Craig Campbell of the Alaska National Guard. Last week, he says Palin's position as commander-in-chief of the guard is more "ceremonial" and she's "not the most engaged" leader. But he does note that she's definitely engaged.
Later in the week, though, Campbell's tune changed to one that sounds a little friendlier to Mrs. Palin's ears and what happens? The man receives a promotion. Man, Palin's got to learn how the Repubs roll, baby! You've got to hold those rewards back a little to make it look a LITTLE more natural.
Does this sound like any other currently governing regime you might know of? I'm just asking if you know of anyone who was, maybe, given an appointment because of his loyalty and then forced to resign because of a scandal.
You know what's sad? I could probably poke around and come up with a few more. And no one would be surprised.
